The Role

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, large‑scale construction projects. In this key leadership role, you will oversee the planning and execution of multi‑million‑dollar developments, manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. You will play an important role in shaping Vasto’s project delivery approach, while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability across all projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee projects through the entire lifecycle, from pre‑construction planning and permitting to final completion and handover.
  • Establish and manage project budgets, schedules, and execution strategies to ensure efficiency and profitability.
  • Administer contracts, lead negotiations with vendors and subcontractors, and manage procurement processes.
  • Integrate sustainable construction practices, including mass timber, modular building methods, and energy‑efficient solutions.
  • Leverage BIM and other project‑management tools to coordinate consultants, site teams, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor junior project managers, site superintendents, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Act as the primary client liaison, fostering strong and lasting relationships.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Provide regular reports to senior leadership on project progress, risk management, and financial performance.
About You
  • 10+ years as a Project Manager in construction, including experience leading multi‑family residential, commercial, or institutional projects.
  • Proficiency with BIM, project‑scheduling, budgeting, and cost‑control software.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams, resolve conflicts, and mentor emerging talent.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, permitting processes, and sustainable building practices.
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, or related field. Professional certifications (PMP, P.Eng., or Gold Seal) are considered assets.
  • Excellent communicator, problem‑solver, and decision‑maker with a client‑first mindset.
