Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Project Coordinator to join the Special Projects Division at Antex Western. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating project activities, communicating with stakeholders, managing project timelines, and ensuring that client’s requirements are in line with project goals.
Your Key Responsibilities
· Work with a diverse Project Team.
· Creation and collation of project deliverables.
· Supporting the team by attending meetings and discussing action items post meeting.
· Managing/updating project logs on a daily/weekly basis.
· Review of project background information.
· Prepare work plans, monitoring and updating of project schedules.
· Assist the Construction Manager in updating project forecasts.
· Extract weekly project time reports, and review time spent against budgets with the Construction Manager.
· Develop and monitor the schedules for all deliverables (based on the work plan that has been prepared), highlighting issues and action plans.
· Identify and communicate scope deviations to key team members.
· Performs general administrative and record-keeping functions including the review and distribution of documentation; preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes; maintenance of files, logs, drawings, specifications, submittals and RFIs
· Assist in the review of vendors invoices, handle enquiries/discrepancies, and coordinate with financial team staff to ensure payment.
· Assist the Construction Manager in the execution of the duties as may be required from time to time.
· Work with Management in preparing project closure documentation, archiving, and project lessons learned.
· Reports to the Construction Manager.
Qualifications
· 1-3 years of Construction Experience withing the commercial or industrial sector preferred.
· Possess a willingness and aptitude to learning on the job and in formal settings
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and confidently within a team environment.
· Must be comfortable with making independent decisions within a defined framework of reference.
· Strong skills in managing multiple tasks in an organized manner is a necessity.
· Self-motivation and eagerness to learn new skills are a definite asset.
· Excellent problem-solving skills with a willingness to take an active role in problem solving.
· Ability to engage and work within a creative and critical integrated design practice.
· Demonstrated attention to detail.
· Work with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
· Understanding of financial documents and project budgeting.
· Knowledge of commercial construction techniques with ability Draft and interpret construction plans will be considered an asset.
· Knowledge in Project Management principles will be considered an asset.
