BGC Okanagan is hiring a Casual Program Area Leader to support recreation programs for kids at Lake Country Clubs. In this role, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming, and exciting environment where kids can explore new skills, build confidence, and feel like they belong.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the program by ensuring that the necessary facilities and equipment are in place, program guidelines and policies are adhered to, and program standards are met.
  • Supervise and interact with children and youth in a positive and supportive manner to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Transport participants in Agency Vans to various sites for recreational purposes.
  • Establish open communication with parents/caregivers.
  • Plan and implement activities and special events for the program.
  • Promote public awareness of and support for the program by producing promotional materials and attending community events.
  • Maintain related records and statistics and produce reports as required.
Qualifications
  • A diploma, certificate and/or relevant experience working with children in recreation, education or other social services.
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Class 5 Driver License
  • Successful completion of Agency screening including a Criminal Record Check
Work Details

This position is open to all applicants. This position requires union membership. Hours: Casual hours are available based on program needs. Must be available Tuesday to Saturday, evenings and days. Rate of Pay: $19.82 per hour. Closing Date: September 1, 2025.
