Job summary

Pfaff Autoworks Markham is seeking an experienced Prepper to join our team in Markham, Ontario. You will prepare work stations for Paint Technicians, assist with masking and masking vehicles for repair, and ensure safe, efficient use of paint supplies while maintaining a clean workspace.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in automotive body shops, strong attention to detail, and solid communication skills to coordinate with team members and meet customer deadlines.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work stations with materials and parts for Paint Technicians.
• Prep, mask, and tape vehicles for repair.
• Utilize paint supplies and materials efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and stall area daily.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met and equipment is returned properly.
• Communicate with team to meet customer needs and schedules.

What You'll Do

Prepare work stations with materials and parts for Paint Technicians.

Prep, mask, and tape vehicles for repair.

Utilize paint supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner.

Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.

Perform work with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia, manufacturer standards Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.

Return equipment and tools to proper place.

Review work completed to ensure highest standard of quality.

Communicate with team members as is necessary to meet customer All other duties as assigned by leadership.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience
• Automotive body shop experience
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Acceptable driver's abstract and a valid driver's license in your province of residence.
• Ability to reliably commute to work onsite in Markham, Ontario
• Reports To: Body Shop Manager
• Position Availability: Additional role
• Compensation Range: $60,000-$90,000 based on qualifications and experience
