Job summary

Wolseley Canada Inc. is seeking a Counter Sales professional to serve walk-in customers with product knowledge and timely service in our wholesale environment.

This role focuses on building relationships, handling quotations, and ensuring item availability across our counter and warehouse operations. The position emphasizes customer service excellence, local market awareness, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with AS400 experience considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service in wholesale or distribution.
• Knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing is an asset.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; AS400 experience is an asset.
• Exceptional customer service and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt product knowledge to customers in a professional manner.
• Respond to customers in person, by phone or email.
• Prepare small order quotations for urgent contracting jobs.
• Pick customer orders from warehouse.
• Research products in catalogs and online.
• Verify item availability as ordered and scheduled.
• Build positive relationships with customers and associates.
• Maintain counter-area stock and assist in the warehouse if required.
