You, As a Planner And Scheduler, Will
  • Develop a full Critical Path Method (CPM) logic generated baseline schedules for projects.
  • Participate in the planning and schedule preparation process during pursuits and respond to RFP documents in projects.
  • Prior to project start, create and revise preliminary master schedules and proposal for Operations detailing the sequence of all work to be performed to ensure schedule is realistic and competitive.
  • Evaluate construction progress and perform regular progress updates (bi-weekly or monthly) and prepare the reports for evaluation of the schedule health. Maintain the integrity of the master schedule for each project and identify and record the impact of work performed according to the schedule. Prepare and maintain the project schedule log on a regular basis.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining a database of construction productivity rates, procurement durations, lead times and project risk items.
  • Develop as‑built versus as‑planned schedules to provide a manageable “snapshot” comparison of the project schedule.
Is this the right role for you?
  • 5 years of construction scheduling experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • Familiar with different types of project delivery methods such as P3 (Public Private Partnership), CCDC contracts, Lump Sum, Design Build, GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price), Project Management, Construction Management and Unit Price.
  • Familiar with construction contract definitions (i.e. no damage for delay, liquidated damages, excusable vs. non‑excusable delays, concurrent delays) as well as understanding of how this language applies in the different contracts.
  • Ability to plan the installation of major construction elements such as Building structure (Concrete and Steel), Building Enclosure, Fit out, MEiT, Commissioning and project close‑out.
  • Good oral and written communication skills to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Training through AACE or PMI scheduling modules, designation as PSP or PMI-SP are both assets.
  • You have experience working with ICI (Institutional, Commercial, Industrial) projects.
  • You have a working knowledge of computer scheduling program Primavera P6.
