Overview

Pharmacist - Greater Edmonton Area - Healthcare. This full-time, permanent Pharmacist position in Edmonton offers a supportive environment where you can fully utilize your clinical skills. The practice features an on-site clinic and a well-staffed dispensary and over-the-counter section. This role is ideal for pharmacists in Edmonton and surrounding areas, or those willing to relocate. You\'ll be part of a team that aims to enhance the pharmacist\'s role beyond just dispensing, engaging in activities from chronic disease management and minor ailment prescribing to travel consultations and wellness programs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care across clinic and dispensary, with a significant focus on clinic-based activities.
  • Prescribe for minor ailments, conduct medication reviews, and support programs for chronic disease management and wellness.
  • Administer injections, perform clinical consultations, verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and assist with pharmacy operations.
  • Engage in professional development, collaborate on care initiatives, and foster a positive, team-focused environment that prioritizes patient outcomes and clinical excellence.
Qualifications
  • A licensed pharmacist in Alberta in good standing.
  • Injection-certified (required); APA either achieved or in-process.
  • A strong communicator, team player, and natural collaborator.
  • Passionate about patient-centered care and enthusiastic about using clinical skills to the fullest.
  • Professional, reliable, and eager to contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
Compensation and Schedule

The role offers a competitive hourly rate, negotiable based on experience, with potential bonuses. Full-time pharmacists receive a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health coverage, RRSP matching, license fee reimbursement, and coverage for continuing education and conferences. Scheduling includes rotating shifts (8 am-4 pm, 10 am-6 pm, and 2 pm-10 pm; late shift infrequent) and weekend rotations typically 1 to 1.5 times per month. Availability to work 4 days per week may be discussed.
