Job summary

TD Canada Trust in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Personal Banking Associate Trainee to establish, build, and maintain impactful relationships with our customers and guide them to the staff for resolving financial queries. The role leverages digital banking education and proactive problem resolution to enhance the customer experience.

You will engage in day-to-day advice, service transactions, and banking solutions, while supporting front-line staff and contributing to branch operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and/or 1+ years of relevant experience.
• IFC or equivalent – within 90 days of start date.
• Post-secondary or Undergraduate degree (in related field) preferred.
• Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), branch software and internet.
• Knowledge of banking solutions and processes to advise customers.
• A self-starter who works independently in a dynamic work environment.
• A dynamic, diligent, and effective influencer with can-do attitude to exercise initiative and handle several tasks and changing priorities.
• A strong communicator with established customer experience skills who can connect with customers and teams in a courteous, effective manner.
• Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers in day-to-day advice, service transactions, and digital education.
• Understand customer needs and guide to the right contact for solutions.
• Educate customers on mobile, ATM, and online banking.
• Support frontline staff with cash and non-cash transactions.
• Suggest improvements to branch operations and work practices.
