Could you be the full-time hybrid Pension & Benefits Specialist in Saint-Bruno, QC, CA we’re looking for?

Your future role

  • Support the Pension and Benefit (TR – P&B) manager with the ongoing design, enhancement, and implementation of pension plans and benefits.
  • Act as an expert related to employee benefits and pension plans by providing answers to questions from HR Directors, HR Business Partners, employees, retirees and unions on plan provisions and resolve escalated issues
  • Lead the year-end retirement (pension) processes which will include the following:
    • Review and validation of taxable benefits files and pensionable earnings for Defined Benefit Plans; and
    • Coordination with the pension plan administrators to provide all required data elements to complete Pension Adjustment calculations in a timely manner.
    • Completing required governmental filings (Annual Information Returns)
  • Analyze costs/savings in business decisions during collective bargaining agreement negotiations, reorganizations, sales & acquisitions, etc
  • Assist with the financial management of the benefit plans by preparing budget and forecast reports for management
  • Ensure integrity of the databases with our various administrators and collaborate with the various stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of the information (Payroll vendor, HR system, etc.)
  • Draft communications for HR, management, and employees regarding retirement programs, leveraging email.
  • Assist Total Rewards Manager with project management, through effective organization, documentation, tracking progress, managing deadlines and prioritization of tasks.
  • Monitor disability and enhance the management disability dashboard

All about you

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Statistics, Actuarial Mathematics, or related area
  • Minimum 5 years prior experience in Pension & Benefits
  • Knowledge of employee benefit programs and defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans, as wellof laws and regulations related to Canada
  • Fluent in French and English

Knowledge of a language other than French is an asset to facilitate communication with our partners, suppliers, colleagues, and international clients. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.
