Qualifications

  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C.
  • Valid G class Driver License.
  • Fluency in English, oral and written.
  • Experience in security or law enforcement preferred.

Position: Part Time Security Guard

Site: Tecumseh Mall

Site Address: 7654 Tecumseh Road, East, Windsor, ON

Hours: Sat 1200-1900 / Sun 1200-1800

Payrate: $20.00/hr

Posting Date: 12/29/2025

Requirements
  • You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to coded emergencies in a quick and efficient manner.
  • You should display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance.
  • In this role, it is essential that you are able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Monitor and patrol the premises to ensure safety and security.
  • Perform regular security checks of the property, including parking areas, entrances, exits, and other designated areas.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized access or unlawful activities.
  • Control access at entry points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies and take appropriate actions as needed (may be required to run)
  • Assist in the enforcement of company policies and procedures, including monitoring and reporting any suspicious activities.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches promptly to the management team.
  • Complete daily logs and security reports, documenting any unusual occurrences.
  • Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors as needed.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly.
  • Cooperate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other authorities when necessary.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
  • Knowledge and enforcement of Trespass to Property Act (TPA) R.S.O 1990
Prerequisites
  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
  • Valid G class Driver License
  • English (oral and written) fluency is a must
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
  • Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month
