Peace River School Division is hiring a Part-Time Educational Assistant (0.30 FTE) for École Springfield Elementary School in Peace River. The position begins October 14, 2026 and continues under CUPE Local 4839.

The successful candidate will work with a student in the PUF program and support classroom programming. Qualifications include an Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent, with experience in school settings.

The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Part-Time (0.30 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant at École Springfield Elementary School. This position will commence on October 14, 2026 and will continue until June 4, 2026. The successful candidate will be working with a student in the PUF program.

École Springfield Elementary School is located in the Town of Peace River and has an enrollment of approximately 360 students. Programming at the school consists of English, French Immersion and French Second Language programs for Grades K-4 students.

Qualifications

• Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience and/or training working with student in school setting.
• Ability to work with children with varied ages, skills level, needs and abilities.

• Willingness to be part of a learning team, take direction and follow programs without direct supervision.
• Willingness to attend training and professional development opportunities on individual learning and complex learning needs.
• Ability to be flexible to the changing classroom environment and individual child needs
• Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records.

Assets

• This school offers French programming to its students, therefore knowledge of the French language is considered an asset.

• Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

This is a union position under the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division.

Rate of Pay:

$23.27 to $28.86 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
