Responsibilities

  • Answer any questions staff may have regarding deliveries or pick-ups.
  • Transfer air and ground freight to our agents.
  • Alert branches & CSR's about missorts and missing freight.
  • Initiate and complete Dock Searches.
  • Assure drivers and agents comply with pickup and delivery requirements.
  • Complete occasional p&d if required.
  • Cover off vacations and sick days.
  • Monitor Proof of Deliveries for time sensitive deliveries.
  • Work with branches to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Daily end of day reports.
  • Daily transfer to Cargojet YQM and after hour pick up coordination.
  • Coordinate weekend specials and after hour deliveries.
  • Handle existing and new customer service requirements.

Skills

Previous Dispatch experience
Knowledge of MS Office and In-house software
2-3 years of current Driving experience
Previous Hand-Held Scanner experience
Valid Drivers License
Be a min of 25 years old
Clean Drivers Abstract
Clear Background check

Overview

Job Title: Operations Dispatcher

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:00am to 7:00pm

Location: Dieppe, NB

Position Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: $22.10/hr

We are searching for the next great dispatch and freight handler for one of our esteemed clients in the Moncton/Dieppe area. This is a full-time position with great benefits. Responsibilities
  • Answer any questions staff may have regarding deliveries or pick-ups.
  • Transfer air and ground freight to our agents.
  • Alert branches & CSR's about missorts, missing freight and freight on hand.
  • Initiate and complete Dock Searches
  • Assure drivers and agents comply with pickup and delivery requirements.
  • Complete occasional p&d if the need should arise.
  • Cover off vacations and sick days on occasion.

  • Work with the other branches and customer service to ensure our customers' needs are met.
  • Daily end of day reports.
  • Daily transfer to Cargojet YQM and after hour pick up coordination.
  • Coordinate weekend specials and after hour deliveries as required.
  • Deal directly with both existing customers and potential new customers service requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Previous Dispatch experience
  • Knowledge of MS Office and In-house software
  • 2-3 years of current Driving experience
  • Previous Hand-Held Scanner experience
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Be a min of 25 years old
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
  • Clear Background check
