SCOPE OF POSITION :

The Operations Analyst will provide internal and external support for the Raw Materials department. Fixing any internal issues, completing month end and internal/external reporting. Processing and allocating all costs for Raw Materials department parts used for mass production to Honda Canada Manufacturing.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Month End – Support month end activities by preparing various financial reports as assigned
  • Master Data Controller – Add and maintain new parts in SAP, enter pricing conditions both selling and purchasing, keep updated master list ongoing master list and system validation to ensure part information integrity
  • Pricing Support – yearly pricing updates and validation, EDI processing, monitor daily EDI inventory receipts within SAP. Resolve any discrepancies and support any improvements
  • Cost Reconciliation Report – captures all accrued costs in our ERP system that do not have an Accounts payable invoice applied to. Comment on all items and follow up with vendors to receive steel invoices
  • Accounts Payable (AP) – contact suppliers when we have not received invoices; work with Shared Services Accounts payable team in Ohio to have AP entered correctly; work with suppliers on pricing issues on AP invoices; investigate and correct when needed any AP suspended items
  • Organization and Efficiency – Maintaining proper authorizations, following department procedures, maintaining an organized and efficient workspace, assessing daily work activities for efficiency improvements

POSITION PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post secondary education in Business and / or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in office administration
  • Experience in import / export business an asset
  • Experience using SAP and other ERP systems is an asset
  • Basic accounting knowledge would be an asset
  • Previous experience in A / P
  • Previous knowledge about steel processing would be an asset
  • Database management experience would be an asset
  • Personal Computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical reasoning and persuasive skills
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and limits
