Job summary

BGO is seeking a proactive Property Manager to oversee two retail and commercial properties in New Westminster, BC. The role focuses on maximizing asset value through operational excellence, tenant services, and strategic capital improvements.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in residential property management with a CPM designation preferred, and strong knowledge of Yardi and local landlord-tenant laws. This onsite position offers a competitive compensation package and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential property management experience with strong service ethic.
• Post-secondary education in real estate or CPM designation preferred.
• Knowledge of laws and rights relating to resident/landlord relations; Yardi experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations, performance, and strategy for two retail and commercial properties.
• Oversee maintenance, inspections, compliance, and emergency procedures.
• Manage leases, capital projects, and building improvements from planning through completion.
• Develop tenant relationships, drive engagement, retention, and service excellence.
• Own financial performance: budgeting, forecasting, revenue, expenses, recoveries, and reporting.
• Serve as primary client contact, collaborating with Leasing, Asset Management, Finance, and partners.
• Lead and develop the property management team and strengthen community relationships.
