Job description

At Securiguard your hard work is recognized and rewarded! Currently seeking to hire and place a Part Time/On-Call security guard at one of our sites in Alliston, Ontario. The schedules are based on the need of the site such as days, nights, afternoons, weekends. The candidate must be able to commit to commuting to the job site in Alliston.

This position is a part time/on-call position and is based on the applicant's availability to assist with shifts at the posted site. There are no guarantee of hours weekly. There is potential to transition to a full time position as available.

Position Details

• Available days, afternoons, nights, and weekends

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct foot patrols as required and physically check gate security as required.
• CTPAT inspections on inbound/outbound trucks
• Supporting the gatehouse during rush hour periods
• Open ups, lock ups, equipment checks as required.
• Mobile patrol will deploy/collect parking pylons as required. This is a physical task, and the mobile guard must be able to lift 25lbs into the mobile patrol vehicle.
• Check paperwork and identification of drivers coming into the site.
• Inspect under incoming trucks as per the Standard Operating Procedures
• Act as fire or medical emergency first responder as required per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Developing and implementing standard operating procedures for reporting, and dealing with incidents when applicable
• Carrying out duties while maintaining excellent standards of customer care
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property and investigating.

Experience and Qualifications

• Valid Security Guard Licence
• Valid Ontario Driver's Licence
• Valid First Aid / CPR certificate
• Must be able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to complete daily logs and write detailed reports.
• Basic computer skills
• Must have your own transportation to and from work location.
