Job summary

A community health organization in Ottawa is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to provide primary health care and Opioid Agonist Treatment. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in nursing, experience in a public health setting, and be bilingual in French and English. Key responsibilities include working collaboratively with the Oasis team to promote health and recovery amongst marginalized populations. Competitive salary and benefits included.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years’ experience in community and/or public health settings.
  • Experience working with marginalized populations including people with substance use disorder.
  • Experience providing Opioid Agonist Treatment is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary health care and Opioid Agonist Treatment to clients.
  • Work closely with the Oasis team to deliver health care services.
  • Achieve desired health goals for all clients.

Advanced French (oral expression)
Advanced French (oral comprehension)
Advanced French (reading comprehension)
Fluency in English (oral and written)
Excellent counseling skills
Excellent physical assessment skills
Strong crisis intervention skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Proficiency in use of computers and various software applications

Education

Master’s degree in nursing
Certificate of competence from College of Nurses of Ontario
