Overview

Our warm and welcoming family in Fraser Heights, Surrey, British Columbia, invites a responsible and caring live-out nanny to join our household. With the recent arrival of our newborn, we are seeking a nurturing individual to provide attentive care and support for our little one. We are a pet-friendly home with a small, well-behaved, non-shedding dog, and we’re looking for someone who is comfortable around pets.

Position Details
  • Location: Fraser Heights, Surrey, British Columbia (3 level house)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM (20 hours per week). We may expand hours to 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (40 hours per week) in the future.
  • Type: Live-out, long-term position
  • Compensation: $22.00 per hour (gross)
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
Responsibilities
  • Nanny services: provide exceptional care for our baby Maya
  • Feeding: preparing feeds (ready-to-feed liquid formula, or powdered formula, pumped breast milk)
  • Organizing formula and breast milk supplies in the main fridge and nursery fridge
  • Bottle-feeding the baby according to cues and developmental needs
  • Diapering and hygiene
  • Bathing: sponge baths and regular baths as appropriate
  • Soothing and nap time: comforting the baby and putting them down for naps, following safe sleep practices
  • Developmental activities: engaging in age-appropriate activities to promote growth
  • Health monitoring: observing health and well-being; reporting concerns to parents
  • Administering medications or other health interventions as directed by the parents
  • No screen time for the newborn
  • Household manager duties: light tasks including cleaning and sanitizing bottles, laundry, meal prep, light housekeeping, tidying, dishwasher, cleaning, garbage/recycling, etc.
  • Pet care: basic care for our small dog
  • Errands: occasional shopping for baby supplies or groceries
  • Home organization: assist with general household organization
Qualifications
  • Experience caring for newborns and young children, in Canada and/or abroad
  • Training and credentials in childcare (e.g., ECE, nanny training)
  • CPR and First Aid certification, with recent renewal
  • Driver’s license and access to a reliable car
  • Background check willingness
  • Up-to-date vaccinations (including COVID-19, influenza, Tdap)
  • Pet-friendly: comfortable around our dog
