Job summary

Island Savings is hiring a Member Advisor to deliver frontline service, identify member needs, and tailor financial solutions. You will assist with online banking setup and refer to the appropriate advisor to strengthen long-term relationships.

In this role, you will process member transactions, promote digital channels, and strive to meet sales targets while supporting branch campaigns and a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; college/tech diploma is an asset.
• Completion of Tru Cooperative Sales Essentials Course within 6 months.
• Must complete internal Tru Cooperative certification program in time.
• 2 years retail/customer service experience or equivalent required.
• Sales and cash handling experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to identify needs and recommend products.
• Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building with members.
• Positive, flexible, and able to work in a busy environment.
• Proficient with computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Understanding of risk and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with members and identify needs or refer to an advisor.
• Process member transactions: accounts, debit/credit cards, deposits; promote digital channels.
• Support branch goals through product promotion and cross-sell opportunities.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and participate in process improvements.
• Collaborate with team, mentor others, and maintain a positive work environment.
