Job summary

Thrifty-Foods in North Vancouver is seeking a Meat Supervisor to lead the meat department, coach staff, and ensure exceptional customer service.

You will oversee cutting, wrapping, labeling, merchandising, rotation, and safety while maintaining stock levels and supporting ordering. Candidates should have at least 12 months of experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ months of experience in a meat department or retail grocery environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and lead a team.
• Basic knowledge of department operations and safety practices.
• Provide a minimum of two references for background checks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product quality, freshness, and rotation while maintaining stock levels.
• Support daily operations including cutting, wrapping, labeling, and merchandising meat products.

The Meat Supervisoris responsible to ensure a superior customer service experience by coaching, and developing friendly, well-trained staff. The Supervisor will supervise the department and staff and act as the go to person in the absence of the Department Manager and Assistant. The Supervisor will foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.
