Job summary

Safeway Canada in Dawson Creek is seeking a reliable Meat Department team member to support daily operations and provide outstanding service to customers.

With supervision from the Meat Department Manager, you will coach staff, ensure food safety, and help with orders, stocking, and merchandising. The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to work days, evenings, and weekends in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 12 months of meat retail experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Health and safety knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to meet customer needs
• Supervise meat personnel in the absence of the Meat Manager
• Promote coaching and development of staff
• Complete customer meat orders
• Receive meat orders and perform daily meat preparation
• Merchandise the Meat Department and maintain cleanliness
• Assist with training employees with leadership support
