Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Manager, Pharmacy Program on a permanent basis on our Consumer Products team. This hybrid role offers flexibility in location across Western Canada, with preference for applicants residing in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and communicate an integrated strategy connecting pharmacy practice with OTC, medical supplies, and health & wellness programs, ensuring strong execution across retail operations.
  • Administer and evaluate the Generic Pharmaceutical Formulary and auto-substitution program, managing supply issues, inventory risks, wholesaler relations, and preferred partner performance.
  • Maintain robust reporting, data management, and SOP development, including budgeting analysis and ongoing program evaluations to improve margins and performance.
  • Conduct category reviews, manage product assortment, advance Store Brand development, and negotiate with suppliers and pharmaceutical wholesalers to drive sales growth and profitability.
  • Lead OTC, medical supplies and wellness marketing initiatives, including flyers and promotions, coordinating content, scheduling, supplier involvement, and alignment with category strategies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members through workforce planning, training, performance management, and fostering a high - performing, engaged team culture.

Who you’ll work with: You will have one direct report (Pharmacy Business Analyst), and will report into the Director, Pharmacy. This team strives to cultivate a culture that is customer/patient centered, data-driven, and cross-functional.

The Collaborators: You will provide recommendations daily to retail Pharmacy managers, supervisors, Centre managers and commodity specific department managers.

The Customers: You will demonstrate customer focus while supporting local Co-op Pharmacies and Food stores.

Who you are: You are looking for a career in Business Strategy and Insights and :

  • Have 8 years of relevant progressively responsible experience. Pharmacy Operations and category engagement experience is a strong asset. Experience working with Provincial and Federal Pharmacy regulatory bodies is an asset.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in commerce/business, pharmacy or a related field (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Are familiar with all Federal and Provincial Pharmacy Acts and Drug Schedules.
