  • Review liquidity needs, working capital and overall cash positions of the business.

  • Accounts Payable Management: Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including processing invoices, payment approvals and expense reporting while ensuring accurate coding, matching and posting of invoices.
  • Manage the employee expense reimbursement process; experience with Concur is an asset.
  • Prepare regular accounts payable reports including aging analysis, cash flow projections and vendor spend analysis.
  • Support the finance team in month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Banking Relationships: Act as the online account administrator for all online banking platforms (i.e. process or approve profile and account changes, setup new bank accounts).
  • Establish and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions and other external stakeholders.
  • Administer the setup process for creating new bank accounts including the completion of KYC, AML and all other required compliance setup forms.
  • Oversee the migration and setup of existing bank accounts to new online banking platforms.
What You Bring

We believe that this role is ideal for a professional accountant who is a few years beyond obtaining their designation and who already has some practical experience outside public practice. Desired attributes include :

  • CPA designation with 5 years of relevant business experience. Insurance industry experience would be an asset. An experienced Certified Treasury Professional with equivalent experience would also be considered.
  • University degree, preferably specialized in Business or Finance.
  • Three years of experience managing an Accounts Payable function.
  • Experience managing employee expense report systems, i.e. Concur.
  • Experience managing Treasury related functions including relationship management. Knowledge of Royal Bank online banking platforms would be an asset.
  • Experience managing staff in a finance operations role with demonstrated ability to create strong employee engagement. Staff development and coaching experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of ERP payment and payment application functions (i.e. Yardi P2P).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven track record of effectively identifying and solving complex financial and operational problems. Ability to think critically, analyze situations and develop creative solutions focused on efficiency and improving existing processes.
  • Highly organized with an ability to multitask while being able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of ownership and responsibility; able to work independently and manage a team.
