Job summary

Position Overview

The Program Manager will be responsible for the management and successful delivery of the program, including overseeing the intake, application review, approval, monitoring, and reporting process of applicants. The successful candidate will manage deadlines and ensure program spending is within the allocated budget, manage stakeholders, and prepare quarterly reporting to the funder.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Black Youth Leadership Program, ensuring the delivery of all program activities and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement program plans, stakeholder engagement plan, marketing and communication plan, and evaluation plan.
  • Manage the intake, application review, approval, monitoring, and reporting process of applicants.
  • Manage deadlines and ensure the program spending is according to the budget.
  • Manage the diverse Micro-Grant Review Adjudication Committee.
  • Prepare quarterly reporting to the funder.
  • Provide regular mentoring and support for program participants.
  • Conduct monitoring and progress report (surveys).
  • Analyze the quantitative and qualitative data from participants’ surveys.
  • Recognize participants’ achievements by publishing blogs, newspaper articles, and social media posts.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree related to Human Services, People Centered Supports or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 3 years of program management experience, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Experience in managing and delivering community-based initiatives.
  • Experience in managing and reporting on grants or similar funding programs.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of anti-racism education, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Proficiency in digital productivity and project management tools, includingMonday.comand Google Workspace.
Requirements

40 hours/week, which may involve some weekday evenings and /or weekends.
Valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle.

The Individual will be based in Edmonton and will be required to travel in between cities (Edmonton & Calgary).
