Overview

The Manager – Financial Controls & Accounting is responsible for leading financial control assessments, testing and remediation, and ensuring compliant financial processes. This role also provides technical accounting expertise for acquisitions and contributes to control design for system implementations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead financial control assessments (ICF), including evaluation and documentation.
  • Perform quality control testing of controls, oversee remediation, and monitor completion.
  • Implement and document financial processes to ensure compliance (e.g., balance sheet reviews, JE policy, FA policy, Delegation of Authority).
  • Provide technical accounting expertise, particularly for acquisitions, including maintaining models and performing calculations.
  • Conduct general review and recommendations on complex accounting transactions.
  • Actively contribute to control design for new system implementations (e.g., UKG, SAP).
  • Review and update accounting policies to ensure alignment with authoritative guidance.
Qualifications
  • CPA designation required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in accounting, audit, or financial controls.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge under IFRS.
  • Proficient with financial control design, testing, and remediation.
  • Skilled in preparing and reviewing complex accounting transactions.
