The Dufresne Group is currently seeking a Manager, Data Management for our eCommerce Team.
This role can be located on a hybrid basis at our Home Office at 147 Commerce Drive in Winnipeg, or remotely within Canada.

As a
Manager, Data Management
, you will be responsible for ensuring the relevancy, accuracy, and completeness of all product data that drives SKU creation and powers the digital experience across the Ashley, Dufresne, and dRSG banners. You will oversee data governance practices, lead a team of data specialists, and partner cross-functionally to deliver high-quality product information across all systems. A key focus of this role is building and maintaining A+ product detail pages (PDPs) that strengthen customer experience, conversion, and brand consistency. In addition, you will identify and implement AI-enabled solutions to scale data management processes, improve workflow efficiency, and continuously elevate product content quality.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain standards for product data accuracy, completeness, taxonomy, attributes, and naming conventions.
  • Monitor data integrity across PIM, ERP, and e-commerce systems and report on key data quality metrics.
  • Ensure consistent, reliable product information across all customer-facing channels.
  • Lead the end-to-end process for SKU setup and updates, ensuring alignment with merchandising and operational needs.
  • Manage both manual vendor inputs and automated mapping workflows to support timely SKU activation.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies quickly to minimize business and customer impact.
  • Prioritize issues based on urgency and act as the main escalation point for data-related challenges.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of data specialists, fostering strong performance and accountability.
  • Partner with Merchandising, IT, Digital, Supply Chain, and vendors to align on data standards and support product launches.
  • Streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and implement automation to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Drive data enrichment initiatives to enhance product discoverability and customer experience.
  • Leverage AI and machine learning tools for data validation, enrichment, categorization, and content generation.
  • Demonstrate the company's values in all aspects of work performance.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Data Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • At least 5 years of experience in retail and 2+ years in a leadership role managing teams and cross-functional projects.
  • Experience with PIM, ERP platforms, and data governance tools.
  • Familiarity with data quality frameworks, taxonomy management, and digital merchandising workflows.
  • Strong background in process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts and influence stakeholders.
  • Leadership and coaching ability to guide and develop a team.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to travel within Canada (5–10%).
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check may be required.
