UniFirst Canada is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our UniFirst team. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems, and components, both indoor and outdoor facility and equipment, including but not limited to: large capacity washers, dryers, pneumatic and steam systems, convey system and boilers.

At UniFirst we have a standard Monday - Friday work week. We have an immediate opening and provide on the job training.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required; two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be 18+ with 5th Class Power Engineer certificate.
• Must pass UniFirst maintenance knowledge assessment.

Responsabilités

• Operate hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure safe operation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and manuals for maintenance work.
• Troubleshoot equipment using precision instruments.
• Perform boiler pre-treatment testing and adjust chemicals as needed.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety checks on boilers and equipment.
• Apply lockout/tagout and confined space procedures.
• Record utility readings and take corrective actions.
• Inspect belts, bearings, and other parts; lubricate as required.
• Use CMMS to document repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Respond to alarms and assist with repairs as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by location management.
