UniFirst Canada is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment and systems across indoor and outdoor facilities.

The role offers on-the-job training, a Monday–Friday schedule, and opportunities for career growth within a rapidly expanding company that values safety, teamwork, and a positive workplace culture.

Competenze

• High school or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 5th Class Power Engineer.
• Must pass UniFirst maintenance knowledge assessment.
• Valid non-commercial driver’s license and safe driving record.

Mansioni

• Operate hand/power tools (hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches) and precision instruments.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and engineering specs.
• Troubleshoot equipment using precision testing instruments.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater testing; adjust chemicals as needed.
• Conduct daily/weekly boiler safety checks and repairs.
• Perform Lockout/Tagout and Confined Space procedures as required.
• Record utility meter readings and take corrective actions.
• Conduct daily/weekly location/system safety checks and address concerns.
• Inspect motors, belts, and lubricate parts per procedures.
• Utilize CMMS for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Respond to emergency alarms with maintenance team.
