UniFirst Canada is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, including boilers, pneumatic and steam systems, and large washers/dryers. Training is provided; standard Monday–Friday schedule.

We offer on‑the‑job training, benefits, and opportunities for growth within a family culture. Applicants should have a high school diploma, 18+ years old, and relevant maintenance experience.

Competenze

• High school or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 5th Class Power Engineer.
• Must pass maintenance knowledge assessment.
• Valid non-commercial driver’s license.
• Knowledge of maintenance equipment.
• 6+ months repair experience in production environment.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• English maintenance literature reading ability.
• Basic computer/Microsoft Office skills.
• Lockout/Tagout experience.
• Welding experience (MIG/TIG/ARC) preferred.
• Experience with safety programs.
• CMMS experience preferred.
• HVAC knowledge preferred.
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Willing to overtime.

Mansioni

• Operate hand/power tools for equipment repair.
• Ensure safe operation of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Follow blueprints and manuals.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using testing devices.
• Test boiler chemical and wastewater pretreatments.
• Perform daily/weekly safety checks on boilers.
• Record meter readings and take corrective actions.
• Use CMMS to log repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Respond to alarms and assist team for repairs.
