Overview

Maintenance Technician position with Atria Management Company. This role involves preventive and corrective maintenance across multiple trades, resident service, and coordination with on-site staff.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair problems in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting / wallpaper, water features (pools, spas, etc.), and waste management systems.
  • Complete assigned service requests and repairs in a safe and timely manner, in alignment with company standards.
  • Perform turn-key work to ensure vacant apartment homes are rent-ready promptly.
  • Maintain customer service standards; respond to resident requests and collaborate to minimize or resolve problems, with follow-through to ensure issue resolution.
  • Apply all applicable Atria policies and procedures; promote safe work practices among on-site staff.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws, including Fair Housing regulations, building codes and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with organizing and prioritizing service requests and general maintenance tasks.
  • May drive company vehicle as required by the community.
  • May supervise the work of other associates and outside contractors.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in property management maintenance performing duties of a Maintenance Technician.
  • Able to perform basic arithmetic and basic calculations (estimates, averages, percentages).
  • Able to operate general office equipment as needed.
  • Able to frequently use maintenance tools and equipment (hand tools, pressure washers, ladders, etc.).
  • Able to handle and use chemicals and cleaning supplies.
  • Position requires driving responsibilities (may use company or personal vehicle).
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and comply with company vehicle policy standards.
