Maintenance Technician

What You’ll Do

As a key member of the maintenance and automation team, you’ll play a critical role in keeping advanced manufacturing systems running at peak performance.

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC-controlled systems, vision inspection equipment, barcoding systems, CNC machining centers, and electromechanical presses

  • Perform root cause analysis on electrical, mechanical, and automation issues and implement permanent corrective actions

  • Maintain and update PLC programs, HMI interfaces, and vision system configurations, including backups and documentation

  • Execute preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and improve production efficiency

  • Support the implementation, integration, and commissioning of new automation technologies

  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentoring to junior technicians and apprentices

  • Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives focused on downtime reduction

What You Bring
  • Post-secondary education in Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field

  • Certificate of Qualification in a recognized trade (Industrial Electrician, Millwright, Tool & Die Maker, Automation or Controls Technician)

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment

  • Strong experience with:

    • PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar)

    • Vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, or similar)

    • Barcoding systems integration

    • Electromechanical presses and automation cells

  • Solid mechanical aptitude with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
