Qualifications

  • Experience in Food Handling and Processing is an asset.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with production machinery, preferably Multivac or similar.
  • Ability to lift / push / pull 40-50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Highly detail oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Set up machinery for production while conducting pre-op inspections.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of the packaging equipment while following the production schedule.
  • Monitor equipment during production operation to ensure proper functionality.
  • Operate packaging equipment efficiently to maintain optimal production.
  • Follow GMPs and HACCP procedures.
  • Maintain equipment and clean work area by following standard sanitation processes.
  • Oversees assembly and disassembly of equipment, communicating concerns to specialists.
  • Perform daily pre-op and post-op checks on machinery.
  • Accurately complete reporting or paperwork associated with each machine.

We\'re looking for a Machine Operator to join our Production team! If you\'re looking to join a close knit team, be apart of starting up a brand new shift, and are mechanically inclined - we can\'t wait to talk to you!

Internally known as a Level II Machine Operator, you are responsible primarily for the efficient setup and running of the Multivac machine. Additional responsibilities include backup coverage for the Level I operators on above noted machines/lines.

This shift is 11:00p to 7:00a. This is a new position on this shift and although we love AI, your application will be reviewed by real people.

This role is eligible for a wage progression: Starting rate is $24/hour, $25 at 6 months, $26 at 12 months and annual reviews thereafter. Night shift premium is $2/hour. This role is also eligible for Group Insurance Benefits, a Company Performance Bonus, Discounted Pet Food, Employee Events, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up machinery for production while conducting pre-op inspections
  • Responsible for the safe operation of the packaging equipment while accurately following the production schedule
  • Monitor equipment during production operation to ensure proper functionality. If any deficiencies are noted, report immediately to Equipment Specialist, and/or Production Supervisor
  • Operate packaging equipment efficiently to maintain optimal production
  • Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP procedures
  • Follow all Health and Safety rules, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain equipment and clean work area by following standard sanitation processes and procedures
  • Oversees assembly and disassembly of equipment, communicating any concerns or issues identified to Equipment Specialist and/or Production Supervisor
  • Monitoring and recording lot tracking and weight checks for finished products at packaging stage
  • Replacing packaging material (films) as needed on equipment
  • Perform daily pre-op and post-op checks on machinery
  • Accurately complete any reporting or paperwork associated with each respective machine or packaging line as necessary
  • Perform start up and shutdown activities as per manufacturing procedures
