Job summary

A recognized pharmaceutical manufacturer in Metro Vancouver is seeking a Machine Operator Level 1 to join their team. This role involves operating manufacturing equipment, ensuring record accuracy, and maintaining equipment. The ideal candidate must be fluent in English, trained in GMP, and knowledgeable in pharmaceutical processes. Qualifications

  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Trained in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical equipment operation including bottling line, blister packaging, shrink wrapping, cartooning, encapsulation and tableting machines.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure Manufacturing Batch Record accuracy and completeness.
  • Clean equipment and room under guidance from Machine Operator level 2.
  • Transfer finishing product to the warehouse as needed.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of equipment as directed.

Duties and Responsibilities
Primary
  1. Operate manufacturing equipment.
  2. Ensure Manufacturing Batch Record accuracy and completeness.
  3. Clean equipment and room with the guidance from Machine Operator level 2.
  4. Transfer finishing product to the warehouse as needed.
  5. Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of equipment as directed.
Additional
  1. Participate in and further the Company’s health & safety program.
  2. Report equipment malfunctions immediately.
  3. Report quality deficiencies immediately.
  4. Offer suggestions for process improvement.
  5. Other related duties.
Qualifications
Knowledge
  1. Fluent in verbal and written English.
  2. Trained in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  3. Knowledge of pharmaceutical equipment operation including bottling line, blister packaging, shrink wrapping, cartooning, encapsulation and tableting machines.
Skills
  1. Willingness to learn.
  2. Basic proficiency in mathematics (adding, subtracting, multiplying & dividing).
  3. Basic proficiency in using computers.
  4. Basic proficiency in using the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Abilities
  1. Lift a minimum of 25kg.

  1. Must be in good health with no communicable diseases or dust allergies.
  2. Must wear approved non-slip safety shoes.
  3. Must follow appropriate gowning procedure before going into production area.
  4. Follow health & safety regulations.
