YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Director of Logistics, the person will ensure that products are properly supplied to terminals to serve our customers and our networks. This means dealing with suppliers, as well as road, rail, and maritime carriers.

Planning and Coordination (70%)
Planning
  • Plan, book, and enter in our systems rail and truck movements in coordination with suppliers, terminals, customers, internal teams, and carriers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams the execution of the main logistics plan.
  • Support the internal team for inventory reconciliation.
  • Support logistics for incoming vessels.
  • Manage the distribution of volumes to our networks.
  • Analyze product positions to alert the procurement team about product availability.
  • Participate in the review of the storage plan.
Terminal Coordination
  • Identify, investigate, research, resolve issues, and present alternative options or solutions.
  • Verify terminal capacity to ship products.
Coordinate Contract Execution With Third-party Facilities
  • Support terminals and third-party facilities regarding logistics matters and throughput volumes.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the operations team.
  • Send terminal opening hours.
Coordination With Suppliers And Customers
  • Provide service to suppliers and customers by meeting delivery requirements and responding to concerns and information requests.
  • Maintain contact with internal and external customers to determine delivery requirements.
Consignment Inventory Management (10%)
  • Generate and send weekly and monthly reports to our partners who have consignment products at our various sites.
Non-Compliance Management (5%)
  • Coordinate actions related to quality complaints received with the relevant parties.
Logistics Invoices (5%)
  • Verify, code, and approve logistics invoices. Check the validity of information and, if necessary, take corrective action within a reasonable period to avoid costs.
Process Improvement (5%)
  • Document and maintain internal processes, procedures, and the transportation rate matrix.
Cross-Training within the Team (5%).
YOUR ASSETS
  • You have a college or university degree in a business/logistics-related field and have a minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in logistics.
  • You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and analytical abilities, as well as the capacity to meet deadlines to deliver products on time.
  • You maintain effective communication with suppliers and terminals, which is key to providing the best customer service.
  • You have basic knowledge of Incoterms, and you’re very familiar with Excel.
  • You pay attention to details, and you have strong interpersonal abilities.
  • You can work responsibly and efficiently with minimal supervision.
