Job summary

Encore Canada is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in hospitality environments, ensuring complete customer satisfaction. The role reports to an Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology, with on-site responsibilities at hotel and convention settings.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, on-site guest meetings, and proactive maintenance to ensure systems function correctly during events.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or higher.
• Technical Level 3 Certification within 180 days.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in educational environment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required (DOT where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and breakdown basic audiovisual equipment as listed in qualifications.
• Meet with guests on site to ensure needs are met and equipment works properly.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication.
• Load/unload/store gear and prepare labeling; complete required paperwork.
