Job summary

Encore Canada in Victoria, BC, is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment, ensuring guest satisfaction. The role reports to Operations leadership and involves on-site event support, equipment handling, and adherence to safety protocols.

You will work with clients to ensure equipment works, troubleshoot issues, complete paperwork, and contribute to revenue through up-selling.

Qualifications

High School Diploma is required; Associate degree preferred.
Technical Level 3 Certification must be achieved within 180 days.
1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in educational environment is preferred.
A valid driver’s license is required for team members who may operate Company vehicles.
DOT requirement may need to be met if applicable.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment.
Strives to exceed expectations of internal and external customers.
Maintains a positive relationship with clients through effective communication.
Meets with guests on site to ensure their needs are met and equipment works properly.
Monitors events and checks in on customers throughout the day.
Follows all venue safety requirements and supplier protocols.
