Job summary

Encore Canada is seeking a Technical Specialist to set up and run audiovisual systems for live events, reporting to the project team. You will ensure flawless execution, assist with pre-event planning, and support on-site during events.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining equipment, mentoring staff, and upholding safety standards in a hotel/convention center environment with irregular hours and lifting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of event technology experience with specialty in Audio, Lighting, Projection, or Video is required
• 3-4 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Technical 1-Star, Professional 200 and (1) Technical Level 300 in A/P/V/L. Experience must be signed off by DPM or higher.
• New Encore team members must validate/complete all Training requirements within 60 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and breaks down advanced audiovisual equipment for events.
• Troubleshoots technical issues and resolves problems quickly.
• Provides excellent service and builds client relationships.
• Supervises technicians during events and ensures safety and security of equipment.
• Maintains equipment inventory and forecasts needs.
