Job summary

Dilawri Group of Companies is seeking a Licensed Automotive Technician for the night shift at Barrie Volkswagen. Schedule is Sunday to Thursday, 11:00pm-7:30am, with a pay rate of 38–41 CAD per hour.

Responsibilities include repairs, diagnostics, PDIs, road tests, and collaboration with service advisors. 3+ years’ experience and a 310S license are required; a G license is also needed. Enjoy benefits and ongoing training within a respected automotive group.

Qualifications

• Experienced technicians with 3+ years in a fast-paced environment and a valid 310S license.
• Valid Ontario G license is required.
• Dealership and brand knowledge is beneficial.
• Strong technical/mechanical repair aptitude.
• Knowledge of current automotive technology and advancements.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Effective communication with customers and team members.

• Perform customer-pay repairs and internal dealership work per standards and guidelines.
• Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify malfunctions and repair.
• Use advanced diagnostic equipment to pinpoint problems.
• Collaborate with service advisors to communicate repair recommendations.
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Perform PDIs on new vehicles and prepare used vehicles for sale.
• Conduct road tests following safe driving practices.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, vehicle technology, and repair techniques.
• Complete repair orders accurately and promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Perform customer-pay repairs and maintenance services, and internal dealership work following industry standards and manufacturer guidelines as assigned.
• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics to identify any malfunctions and perform the repair.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to pinpoint complex problems.
• Collaborate with service advisors to communicate repair recommendations to customers.
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new vehicles and support the pre-owned department by inspecting, servicing, and preparing used vehicles for retail sale.
• Perform road tests using safe driving standards.
• Stay sharp and up to date on latest industry trends, vehicle technology, and repair techniques
• Complete repair orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Experienced Technicians with 3+ years in a fast-paced environmentand a valid 310S license
• Valid G license
• Dealership and brand specific knowledge are beneficial.
• Strong aptitude of technical/mechanical repairs.
• Knowledge of the latest automotive technology and advancements.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Effective communication skills with customers and team members.
