Job summary

Dilawri Group of Companies is actively seeking an Apprentice Technician to join the team at Barrie Volkswagen in Barrie, Ontario. The role involves performing general vehicle maintenance and assisting the Service Technician with repairs, road testing, and keeping the service department stocked.

A valid Ontario driver’s license with 3+ years of driving experience is required. Competitive pay ranges from $19 to $25 per hour, with opportunities to learn and grow within a large automotive group that

Qualifications

• Strong product knowledge.
• Strong aptitude for technical/mechanical repairs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Technician experience an asset.
• General Service Department experience an asset.
• Valid Ontario Driver's Licence with 3+ years driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general vehicle maintenance and minor repairs
• Assist the Automotive Service Technician, as necessary
• Examine the vehicle assigned to determine if additional maintenance or safety work is required or recommended
• Road test vehicles, as required
• Restock the supplies in the Service Department
• Tag replaced parts for warranty or customer requests
• Keep up-to-date on manufacturer technical bulletins
