Job summary

A leading agricultural technology company in Manitoba is hiring a Lab Technician responsible for preparing and testing samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the fertilizer/organic industry.
  • Familiarity with IDEM and EPA regulations is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze samples for fertilizer and organic product testing.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests following standardized procedures.
  • Document and interpret the results of experiments and tests.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Ensure laboratory safety protocols are followed.
  • Monitor and manage laboratory supplies.
  • Communicate findings and observations.
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of all laboratory activities.
