As a co‑op student with Planview, you will get the opportunity to gain meaningful, paid work experience to support your academic learning. You will be supported in further developing your skills and have the chance to learn more about software development in a SaaS organization.

We’re looking for a Jr. Software Engineer Co‑op on our Anvi team in Vancouver, BC for an 8‑month co‑op term. In this role, you will work on a variety of development teams across our entire engineering group. Jr. Software Engineer Co‑op’s on the Anvi team will be challenged with a wide variety of technologies and responsibilities that will give you valuable skills for your career as a Software Engineer. The Anvi team has a large impact on the daily operations from ensuring timely releases, supporting development infrastructure, and ensuring high uptime for our public‑facing web services.

Students currently enrolled in an applicable co‑op program at BCIT, UBC, UVic, or SFU will be considered for this role. Please note you must apply through your co‑op office as well and provide your academic transcript with your application.

What You’ll Do
  • Own small product feature development through full Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Design, develop, and test applications in accordance with established standards.
  • Participate in peer reviews of designs and code.
  • Collaborate with the cross‑functional team in any feature planning, developing, testing, and deploy the feature to customers.
  • Perform software testing to ensure the quality and stability of features in development.
  • Implement software to work with Generative AI services.
What You’ll Bring
  • Java development – this is our bread and butter.
  • AWS EKS, RDS, S3, and ElastiCache.
  • Object‑oriented programming and design patterns.
  • JavaScript development: React or other leading frameworks.
  • Network communications development (e.g. REST, HTTP).
  • Test‑Driven Design.
  • Other skills that are nice to have: Experience using Generative AI services such as AWS Bedrock; scripting and web application development using Spring framework; good understanding of database query and database in general; experience with JavaScript development: React or other leading frameworks; knowledge of continuous delivery tooling, Git, GitHub Actions.
