Job summary

The Role

We are seeking a motivated Journeyman Pipefitter to join our fabrication team. This is a full‑time, shop‑based role with a schedule of Monday to Friday. Day and night shifts available. Future project requirements may include overtime, weekend shifts, or short‑term field work.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Maintain equipment.
  • Read blueprints and specifications.
  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving of pipes, valves and fittings.
  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systems.
  • Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
  • Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
  • Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
  • Red‑line update drawings to an as‑built condition.
  • Ensure FLRA is completed at the beginning of every job and work is completed safely.
  • Complete equipment maintenance in line with OCL Group and industry standards, procedures and practices.
  • May perform other related duties assigned.
  • Maintain shop cleanliness.

Experience/Education/Qualifications
  • Registered Journeyman Pipefitter.
  • Previous experience in a shop or industrial fabrication environment.
  • CSTS 2020 Fundamentals (contains WHMIS 2015).
  • May be required to complete a pre‑access drug and alcohol test when working on certain sites.
  • May need to have certain safety tickets and complete site specific orientations for certain sites.
  • Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation to and from work.li>
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
