Job summary

Bartle & Gibson Co. is seeking a customer-focused sales professional to assist customers with plumbing and electrical needs, answer questions, and process orders. You will source materials, provide quotes, and build relationships to ensure a smooth sales process.

This role requires exceptional communication, the ability to upsell, and the know-how to work with contractors and the public to meet customer needs. Competitive benefits are provided in a team-oriented Western Canada environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years sales experience (counter, inside or outside) required.
• Knowledge of plumbing and/or electrical industry preferred.
• Post-secondary courses in Plumbing or Electrical an asset.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries and process incoming calls and orders.
• Contact customers and identify new products and up-sell opportunities.
• Enter orders into the system.
• Source materials when not in stock and maintain product knowledge.
• Provide product information and pricing quotations; follow up on quotes.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Ensure customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries and service.
• Support counter sales and handle returns as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
• Contacting current customers and identifying new products and potential up-selling
• Entering orders into the system
• Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
• Maintaining knowledge base on current products and learning about new products
• Providing product information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotes
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
• Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall service
• Supporting Counter Sales and handling returns as required
• Working closely with others to ensure customer needs are met
• Other duties as required

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Minimum of two years sales experience (counter sales, inside sales or outside sales)required
• Post-Secondary courses in Plumbing or Electricalan asset
• Skilled in serving and negotiating with institutional and industrial purchasers, plumbing or electrical contractors, and the public
• Knowledge of the plumbing and/or electrical industry or a background in plumbing and/or productsrequired
