Job summary

Bartle & Gibson Co. in Wetaskiwin, Canada, is seeking a customer service oriented team member to provide exceptional service at the counter and over the phone.

You will respond to inquiries, process orders, source materials when out of stock, build lasting relationships with customers, and support merchandising and knowledge sharing about plumbing, HVAC and electrical products. Final candidates undergo screening.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years customer service experience.
• Knowledge of Plumbing, HVAC or Electrical products is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional customer service at the counter and over the phone.
• Responding to inquiries and processing orders in the system.
• Sourcing materials for customers when not in stock.
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Handling returns as required.
• Merchandising and showcasing products.
• Contacting current customers and identifying new products and potential up-selling.
• Maintaining knowledge base on current products and learning about new products.
• Providing product information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotes.
• Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall service.
• Working closely with others to ensure customer needs are met.

Job description

• Offering exceptional customer service at our counter and over the phone
• Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders in the system
• Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
• Handling returns as required
• Keeping counter and sales area clean
• Merchandising and showcasing product
• Contacting current customers and identifying new products and potential up-selling
• Maintaining knowledge base on current products and learning about new products
• Providing product information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotes
• Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall service
• Working closely with others to ensure customer needs are met
• Other duties as required

• Ability to develop long-term relationships and generate referrals from your customers
• Impeccable organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Time management & multitasking skills to serve several customers at the same time
• Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team
• Proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to warm up and develop instant rapport with potential customers

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Minimum of two years customer service experience
• Knowledge of the Plumbing, HVAC or Electrical industry and/or industry productsan asset but not required
