Job summary

Bartle & Gibson Co. in Lethbridge seeks a proactive Counter Sales Associate to respond to inquiries, process orders, quote prices, and build lasting customer relationships across Western Canada.

You will source materials, enter orders, support customers with product knowledge, and collaborate with the team to meet service targets and ensure satisfaction. Requirements include at least two years in sales, knowledge of electrical or plumbing products, and strong communication; post-secondary

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' sales experience (counter/inside/outside) required.
• Electrical knowledge or plumbing product background is essential.
• Post-secondary electrical coursework is an asset.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries and process incoming calls and orders.

• Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
• Contacting current customers and identifying new products and potential up-selling
• Entering orders into the system
• Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
• Maintaining knowledge base on current products and learning about new products
• Providing product information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotes
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
• Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall service
• Supporting Counter Sales and handling returns as required
• Working closely with others to ensure customer needs are met
• Other duties as required

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Minimum of two years sales experience (counter sales, inside sales or outside sales)required

• Skilled in serving and negotiating with institutional and industrial purchasers, electrical contractors, and the public
• Knowledge of the electrical industry or a background in plumbing productsrequired
