Job summary

Bartle & Gibson is seeking a dynamic Counter Sales specialist in Western Canada. You will respond to inquiries, process orders, up-sell, and maintain strong product knowledge to support projects and customers.

Ideal candidates have two years of sales experience, knowledge of electrical or plumbing products, and a knack for building long-term customer relationships. The role offers benefits, profit sharing, RRSP match, and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years sales experience (counter/inside/outside) required.
• Knowledge of the electrical industry or plumbing products is required.
• Post-secondary courses in electrical are assets.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to build long-term customer relationships and generate referrals.

Responsibilities

• Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders.
• Contacting current customers and identifying new products and up-selling opportunities.
• Entering orders into the system.
• Sourcing materials for customers when not in stock.
• Maintaining knowledge base on current products and learning about new products.
• Providing product information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotes.
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Ensuring customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and service.
• Supporting Counter Sales and handling returns as required.

• Knowledge of the electrical industry or a background in plumbing productsrequired
