Job summary

Bartle & Gibson is seeking a customer-service oriented professional to support our counter and phone inquiries, process orders, and source materials for customers in Western Canada.

You will maintain positive relationships, handle returns, merchandise the sales area, and support quotes and pricing follow-up, ensuring customer satisfaction and teamwork.

• Ability to develop long-term relationships and generate referrals from your customers.
• Impeccable organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Time management & multitasking skills to serve several customers at the same time.
• Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
• Proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to warm up and develop instant rapport with potential customers.

Responsibilities

• Offering exceptional customer service at our counter and over the phone.
• Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders in the system.
• Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock.
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Handling returns as required.
• Keeping counter and sales area clean.
• Merchandising and showcasing product.
• Contacting current customers and identifying new products and potential up-selling.
• Maintaining knowledge base on current products and learning about new products.
• Providing product information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotes.
• Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall service.
• Working closely with others to ensure customer needs are met.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Minimum of two years customer service experience
• Knowledge of the Plumbing, HVAC or Electrical industry and/or industry productsan asset but not required
