Yakima Chief Hops is seeking an Inside Sales Coordinator – Eastern Canada to ensure accurate and timely customer order fulfillment. You will collaborate with sales, finance, logistics, and other functions to deliver a world-class customer experience across Eastern Canada, Ontario, Manitoba, and adjacent territories.

The role requires strong communication, bilingual English/French skills, and the ability to learn ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • AA in Business preferred, but not required.
  • Fluency in English and French (read/write)
  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Able to learn ERP systems for data entry & reporting
  • Provide customer support via phone and email
  • Willingness to travel to Yakima, WA as needed

Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders efficiently.
  • Cover for team members when out of office.
  • Learn products, promotions, and services.
  • Update customer info across sales region.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with Finance to update account status & communicate finance concerns.
  • Inform customers about shipment status and account issues.
  • Meet with Inside Sales Manager to discuss progress and changes.
  • Suggest process improvements to Inside Sales Manager.
  • Maintain safe/clean work environment and follow safety policies.
  • Adhere to SOPs, policies, and quality procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

Job Title: Inside Sales Coordinator – Eastern Canada

Reports to: Sr. Manager Key Accounts

Job Qualifications:
  • 1.AA in Business preferred, but not required.
  • 2.Possess excellent customer service skills, strong communication skills, positive attitude, punctuality, accountability, honesty/integrity.
  • 3.Should be able to read and write fluently in both English and French.
  • 4.Must be strongly detail-oriented and able to easily multi-task.
  • 5.Should be able to independently initiate, prioritize, and perform or solve work problems and ultimately achieve work objectives to meet deadlines.
  • 6.Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
  • 7.Must be able to effectively communicate in written and verbal form with co-workers, supervisor, management, and customers.
  • 8.Ability to effectively communicate interdepartmentally.
  • 9.Ability to embrace change initiatives.
  • 10.Ability and willingness to travel to YCH’s home office in Yakima, WA, as required by the needs of the position.

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide accurate and timely customer order fulfillment, and collaborate with the Inside Sales Team to ensure customer needs are met. Strong interdepartmental skills are a must, as this job ties sales, finance, logistics, and other functions to deliver a world-class customer experience. This position will focus on a wide geography, with 60% of time spent on Eastern Canada + Ontario and Manitoba territories, and 40% of time spent on Northeast and Coastal territories.

Job Duties:
  • 1.Efficiently process customer orders.
  • 2.Must be willing to help cover for team members when they are out of office.
  • 3. Learn standards and maintain current knowledge of products, promotions, and services.
  • 4.Continuously update customer information within assigned sales region regarding openings/closing of customer locations, change of ownership or sales contact and addresses or billing information.
  • 5.Work in conjunction with Inside Sales Team members to resolve customer issues.
  • 6. Work in conjunction with Finance Department to update account status and information as well as communicate to customers regarding Finance concerns.
  • 7. Inform customers of the status of shipments and/or issues with accounts, product, etc.
  • 8. Confer with Inside Sales Manager or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes
  • 9. Continuously look for ways to improve process efficiency and notify Inside Sales Manager of observations and recommendations.
  • 10.Maintain sanitary and safe work environment and follow safety requirements.
  • 11.Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations are observed.
  • 12.Must have a complete understanding of company’s policies, Employee Handbook, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP and cGMP that pertain to their department to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability.
  • 13.Must adhere to all company policies.
  • 14.Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications.
  • 15.Follow all SOPs in a given area.
  • 16.Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager and/or designee.
