The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering is Canada’s top-ranked ECE department, and one of the largest. Working under the general direction of the Director, Information Technology, the incumbent will be responsible for the effective and timely implementation of new systems and technologies in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. This includes leading the planning, coordination, and execution of technology initiatives; assessing departmental needs; and ensuring that deployed solutions align with faculty priorities and institutional standards. The incumbent will collaborate closely with academic, administrative, and technical staff to support teaching, research, and operational objectives, while providing guidance on best practices, emerging technologies, and process improvements. Additionally, the role involves monitoring project progress, identifying and resolving technical challenges, preparing relevant documentation, and contributing to long term strategic planning to enhance the department’s overall IT infrastructure and service delivery.
