Job summary

UniFirst Canada is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team. You will handle repairs, installations, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, including boilers and HVAC systems, in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be 18+ and hold a valid driver's license.
• Minimum of 5th Class Power Engineer.
• Experience reading blueprints and maintenance manuals.
• CMMS experience preferred.
• HVAC knowledge and boiler knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and repair industrial equipment including boilers, washers, and conveyors.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using tools and measurement devices.
• Perform daily/weekly safety checks and preventive maintenance.
• Record results in CMMS and logs.
• Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout.
• Assist with emergency repairs as needed.
• Read manuals and schematics for repairs.
• Maintain equipment to ensure safe operation.
