Overview

Responsibilities
  • Install, replace, repair and test electrical circuits and equipment such as electrical controls and panel boxes, splice, join and connect wires, test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits, troubleshoot and isolate faults. Notice potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callback. Analyze, diagnose and resolve problems in timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blue prints
  • Able to read and interpret sequence of operation. Ability to follow layouts and install electrical components correctly
  • Required to do testing, start-up and commissioning of the HVAC units in the shop
  • Required to go on site to do start-up and service
  • Perform quality control for inspection
  • Perform site inspection
  • Required to travel in North America on a regular basis
  • Provide technical support to customers
  • Understand Distech program loading into controls, also training provided
Qualifications
  • HVAC experience is an asset
  • A Red Seal Journeyman ticket is REQUIRED (GAS or Electrical). Minimum of 3 years of Journeyman Electrical experience in Alberta
  • Experience with PLC's, motors, and VFD's. Flexibility to work overtime when required (when traveling). Strong time management skills and organizational skills. Superior communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Able to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various service projects. Work well under pressure. Proven ability to effectively finish project to meet our deadlines. Must have a valid driver’s license. Clean drivers abstract and successfully complete a background check
